It's hard to find a clean, affordable, comfortable place to stay in midtown, and the Moderne fit the bill.. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of small decorative touches show someone cares. Convenient to Broadway, Rockefeller Center, subway, Central Park, restaurants, etc. We also appreciated that they let us keep our luggage there all day after we checked out and even use the lounge and bathrooms until we took a taxi to the train.
We traveled to New York to see shows, museums, and the normal tourist attractions. This hotel could not be better located for our activities. We were blocks from Central Park, which was super convenient for exercising in the morning. We were also able to walk to the shows and the Met to see an opera. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Andy, Melissa and David could not have been more friendly or helpful. The bellmen were equally outstanding going above and beyond what I would expect. The rooms were cleaned daily and we found them in great condition.

Immaculate and spacious room; friendly helpful staff; central and convenient location close to Central Park, Broadway and Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Easy subway access at 57th St Stn. Many nearby restaurant options plus 24-hour convenience store for snacks. Everything we needed and wanted at reasonable price.
Pictures say a thousand words but not when searching for a hotel room. This boutique hotel was as described, very clean and service was courteous. Hotel is as pictured, big thank you to Francesca for your service.
